Product overview
Polypropylene (PP) staple fibre is used for air and water filters, industrial fabrics, woven and non-woven carpets, upholstery and carpet backing. Its low specific gravity gives better relative coverage, high dimensional stability, excellent recovery (elasticity and resiliency), low thermal conductivity and chemical inertness. The fibre is made from isotactic PP chips by a one-step melt-spinning process: molten polymer is metered through spinnerets, air/water quenched, then taken directly to drawing, relaxing and crimping. Typical case: a 20 TPD line.
