Product overview
Bi-component fibre has two or more non-mixed polymers across the fibre cross-section — side-by-side, sheath-core and sea-island types. Composite fibre is mainly used in PU leather, yarn, wool fabric, silk textile and the medical and sanitary fields. Sea-island microfiber consists of Nylon/Co-PET polymer; after alkaline treatment the Co-PET dissolves to yield 37 fine-denier Nylon filaments, giving a suede-like soft touch and excellent wiping performance.
