Overview

Product overview

The PET spunbond substrate fabric production line is a spunbond nonwoven line built to produce high-strength substrate (tire) fabric for SBS and APP modified-asphalt waterproof membranes. It works on the spunbond principle: PET chips (or recycled PET bottle sheets with the matching equipment) are melt-spun into continuous filaments by tubular air drawing, laid into a web, then fixed through an online or offline dipping stage, with an optional reinforcement layer. Compared with short-fiber polyester tire, PET spunbond substrate delivers high tensile strength, superior elongation and dimensional stability, aging resistance, long service life and good wettability, which makes it the internationally recognized base for high-performance waterproof membranes used on roofs, underground structures, tunnels, highways and railway bridges. The line produces fabrics of 80–300g/m² at 2.5–5.0dpf and 2–16m/min, across three work widths of 3.5m, 4.5m and 6.8m for outputs from 3,500 up to 8,600 tonnes per year. Vina Nonwoven is the authorized Huayang representative in Vietnam, advising on line configuration by work width and target output, with installation, commissioning and warranty support.

Q & A

Frequently asked questions

What is this PET spunbond substrate fabric production line used for?

This line produces high-strength PET spunbond substrate fabric used as the tire for SBS and APP modified-asphalt waterproof membranes. That substrate fabric is widely applied in waterproofing works such as building roofs, underground structures, high-speed railways, tunnels, and highway/railway bridges.

What raw material does the line run on?

The primary feedstock is PET chips; the line can also process PET bottle sheets when fitted with the corresponding equipment.

What work widths and capacities are available?

Three work widths are offered: 3.5 m (3,500–4,500 t/y, offline/online fixed dipping), 4.5 m (4,600–5,700 t/y, offline/online) and 6.8 m (6,900–8,600 t/y, offline only); all three support a reinforcement configuration.

What fabric weight and production speed does it achieve?

The line produces PET spunbond substrate fabric at 80–300 g/m², with 2.5–5.0 dpf denier, a production speed of 2–16 m/min, using tubular air drawing.

How much does this line cost and where can I buy it?

Cost depends on the work width and reinforcement configuration selected, so Vina Nonwoven needs to discuss your requirements to provide an accurate quote. Contact Vina Nonwoven — the Vietnam representative for Huayang — via hotline or Zalo for consultation and pricing.
