The big difference is output apron width. The Type Ⅰ (this machine) lays out to 2700~10600mm — the widest of the lappers listed here — but its spreading speed stops at ≤45m/min, at 8.2~23.9kw. The Type II holding-type lapper is faster (≤60m/min, 6.7~15.9kw) and the five-shaft unit faster still (≤90m/min, 26~71kw), yet both reach only 3500~7500mm. So: for a very wide batt, the Type Ⅰ is the only one covering 10600mm; for high throughput at standard widths, the Type II or the five-shaft lapper suits better.
