The needle beam is the moving structural frame member of a needle loom, rigidly holding the needle boards and transmitting high-speed punching force from the eccentric drive down into the fiber web.
Manufactured from aircraft-grade extruded aluminum alloy with stress-relieving heat treatment, the beam delivers outstanding bending rigidity at minimum weight. Reduced moving mass minimizes dynamic loads on eccentric bearings and eliminates machine vibration at high stroke frequencies (up to 1,200 – 1,500 rpm). Precision T-slots accommodate both traditional bolt clamping and modern rapid pneumatic airbag clamping systems.
